Smokey the Fly Hunter
I have only mentioned this little member of our family a couple of times. He is truly my fourth child, although he gets away with awful behaviors I would never tolerate from my human kids. Have you ever met Flat Stanley?
There is a book series about a boy named Flat Stanley. Because of his “flat-ness” he is able to go to different places by mail. My kids have all had this great teacher who has her students make their very own “Stanley.” So, the thought process is that my child sends Stanley out to a relative or friend, and they keep a journal of sorts about their travels for one week.
