And now a word from the war room…
Hey there! I hope you are enjoying your Saturday so far… I think I’m on my third cup of coffee-yum…and watch out!
This is not an original idea, but my husband and I put them together about six years ago. That being said, I have no “process” pictures. The frames had prints in them, and were purchased at IKEA. I heart IKEA–a lot!!
We removed the prints, and the frames were in terrific shape. They were that great blue/green color, so I just dry brushed the frames with white acrylic paint.
I knew I wanted bulletin boards, but I’m not a fan of thumbtacks. After we priced magnet boards online, we decided to improvise. My husband purchased thin sheet metal at one of the big hardware stores (thanks!). They even cut it to size for him.
I carefully and slowly covered the metal with plain white contact paper. It’s important to take your time so you won’t have unsightly bubbles or wrinkles. After that was done, we replaced the frames, and hung them up.
I love creating magnets, so this project is a great display for them It is also a great place for recent pictures, word magnets, and important papers.
Not only was our price tag much much less, I love them better than anything we saw online. Thanks for coming by!
I will be sharing this here!
