Cute Baby Girl Card
…for one of the cutest little baby girls I’ve ever seen! A few months ago, I made this for her bedroom door. We finally got to meet her, so I wanted to make a pretty card for her sweet folks.
I used a lot of different stuff for this, but I wanted to share how I made the hanger and dress.
Ready for another favorite product of mine? I love this permanent colored copper wire from Artistic Wire Ltd. They come in two feet long pieces in a variety color pack. I chose the color I wanted, twisted it, and bent it into a hanger shape…
I know you can buy little tiny hangers, but I love being able to make my own in the color and size I want. It’s just another symptom of ICTMTM Syndrome (I-can-totally-make-that-myself).
Onto the polka-dot dress. I drew the dress onto card stock–getting the inspiration from the stamp from the door hanger. After cutting it out, I traced it onto the paper I wanted, and drew in the details.
I added a flower brad, and a punched out a butterfly for some dimension. It is attached to the card with
3-D foam adhesive squares, so it pops up a bit.
For the “a” I covered a chipboard letter in Flower Soft (in spring), and stamped the “va” in black ink. I also added a pink felt border and matching flowers to the front.
You would think something was wrong if I neglected to show you the back, right? No worries!
It’s very simple, but adds to the overall theme. Thanks for joining me today. This is one of my favorite kinds of cards to create, and I’m glad I could share it with you.
I am sharing this here…
