Flower Soft Rocks!

It’s been a big week for cards on my craft table.  This next one is a birthday card, using Flower Soft and my Cuttlebug.  My friend Carol over at The Answer is Chocolate has been inspiring me with her artful paper creations using her Cuttlebug, so I’ve been dusting mine off a little!  Thanks Carol…

I started with a white note card, and a bright, cheery, pink piece of card stock.  After embossing the pink paper with my Cuttlebug happy birthday folder, I rounded the edges and placed it on the front.

Like my bouquet?  I love making these, so I thought I’d show how I made one of the flowers.  First I started with a piece of Flower Soft wire, which is paper covered.  I cut it to my desired length and covered three quarters of it with Super Thick Tacky Glue.

Flower Soft is packaged in containers like the one on the left hand side, in the above picture.  Before you use it, you pull some out and break it up.  I like to store mine in recycled jars so I always have it handy–like the one on the right.

After I apply the glue, I roll it through the fluffed Flower Soft until it’s covered and looks like this…

I made a few of these and folded them into a recycled piece of pink taffeta, and tied another piece around to secure it.  I glued it to the card with glue lines.

You know I have to show you the back, right?

Awww…cute puppy!  I hope you (and my friend) love this card! Stay warm everyone…
