Homemade granola label
What do you mean my break is over tomorrow? I’m not ready. Oh well, what can you do?
My friend at work celebrated her birthday over the break, and it’s my turn to treat her with goodies. Good times…
I thought that instead of a cake or brownies (which we usually dive into partake in at lunchtime), I would bring a monster batch of my granola (recipe here), and some fruit and yogurt. Nothing like a yummy breakfast to start your Monday and week off right… right? Right.
I made enough granola to freeze for the kiddos, and for my friend to take home too. The Graphics Fairy has wonderful frames on her blog, and I found the perfect one to make into a label.
All I needed was Print Master, a hole punch, a large paper lunch sack, ribbon and some tape.
I added the words to my label on Print Master, printed and cut it out. I inked around the edges with stone gray StazOn ink.
This was the paper punch I used for the ribbon.
I threaded it through the back, and then tucked the ends through the other sides to the front. I’m not sure my instructions up there help…hmmm.
This is how it looks when it’s all pulled through. I put my granola in a zip top plastic bag, and then into the paper. I folded the top, stuck on my label, and ta-da!
A simple, pretty, somewhat unusual, and tasty present!
PS I am trying out the Disquis commenting widget on my blog. I always like the way it works and looks on other blogs, so I’m giving it a shot…Thanks…
