I don’t know it will help…
…but at least it’s cute. Ah the dishes. It’s one of those things that just has to be done. I used to have paper plates on hand. In an effort to be “green-er,” we don’t have them anymore. I am currently working towards breaking up with paper towels…
When I put dishes in the dishwasher, I basically wash my dishes first. Yes, I am one of those people. Still reading? Good! I do it mostly because my dishwasher just isn’t that great at getting food off of the dishes. Unfortunately, I confuse my family as to when the dishes are dirty or clean with this annoying quirk. I’ve seen the magnets that stick on the washer in stores, but since I have ICTMTM Syndrome(I-can-totally-make-that-myself), I knew I could make something myself.
I found this idea from Suzy over at Joy Is At Home. I told her I was borrowing her idea right away. It uses old CDs. For mine, I actually used the clear plastic insert that is on top of a package of CDs.

I traced the circle on my paper, and cut it out.

I got out the Mod Podge and brayer and glued the paper to the plastic. I closely trimmed the paper, and found some cute letter stickers in my stash to spell out dirty and clean.

I also had some cute little tags, so I put them in the middle. I covered it with Outdoor Mod Podge and then acrylic sealer. I used some self-adhesive magnet strips for the back.
Thank you is a magical phrase…like how I put it in both directions? That way, whoever loads or unloads the dishwasher will see my gratitude! Besides me. Hint. Hint.
P.S. Fred was so well liked, that I made him his own button! Yay Fred!
