I have become a recent fan of the dollar store. These little composition notebooks are one of my favorite things there.
I think the price for three of these is less than two dollars. It is one of my favorite things to make for a quick thank you, secret Santa, or just-because-you’re-so-terrific gift. The one I made today was inspired by an image found on The Graphics Fairy. It is an ornate gate, which I’ve had my eye on since Miss Karen posted it.
My stash of Melody Ross papers and borders came in handy for this project. The cute paper clip is also from that collection. I have been quietly obsessed with antique keys for a bit, so I was happy to break them out for this. I love that you can see the flip side of the paper when the book is open as well.
I detailed it with Distressed Stickles in brushed pewter. My addiction to Stickles is worthy of another post entirely! I have to go now…my daughter is trying to leave the room with the notebook.
