Photo Transfer with Tissue Paper, Canvas, and Mod Podge

First things first. I found this technique via Pinterest, and have to give full credit to the blogger who wrote up a great tutorial.  Her name is Sarah, and her blog is called Sarah’s Never-Ending Projects.  If you click on the purple link, it will take you right to the directions.

I used this image from The Graphics Fairy.

This process is simple and genius…two of my favorites things ever!  Basically, you print your image onto tissue paper that has been taped to a regular piece of printer paper.  Mod Podge some canvas, and carefully place the tissue paper on top, and seriously, that’s the deal!

This canvas is small, 5 X 7.  The typography is lovely, and I dig how it skirts around the upcoming holidays and shopping, without being all red and green about it.

The frame is packing paper that I recycled by folding and taping down around the image.  I added distressed Stickles just around the inside frame.

Thank you Sarah, for the great idea, and excellent tutorial.  This is one technique I will be using again and again!
