Why I get invited back…
Folks call them “Buckeyes.” I call them peanut butter and chocolate spheres of deliciousness. I make a bunch of them this time of year. My friend has a wonderful cookie exchange, and I bring these to share.
Oh yeah baby, that’s right. It isn’t my recipe, but I would love to share it with you.
What you will need:
1 pound box powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups smooth peanut butter
1/2 cups butter
3 cups Rice Krispies
Dark Cocoa chocolate melts
Over low heat melt together peanut butter and butter. I did double this recipe. Usually I do them in separate batches, and in fact I recommend that.
When it’s blended together, take it off the heat, and stir in the powdered sugar.
Add the Rice Krispies, and combine. Chill the mix in the refrigerator for about 45 minutes. It will make it easier to work with.
Coat your clean hands in butter and roll them into small balls. Place them on wax paper covered cookie sheets, and chill them. My garage is chilly, so that is where mine end up.
Melt chocolate -I like to do mine in a glass bowl over a pot of water on a low burner. Dip the balls into the chocolate and chill again.
