Wreath from Dictionary pages. And patience.
Lots and lots of patience.
I would like to extend kudos to all of the talented people out there who have created wreaths. You made it look completely effortless, and you inspired me to tackle my own wreath.

Thanks goodness this project is over! I am very happy with the results, but man did it take a while for my idea to take shape.

I started with this wire wreath form. I knew I wanted to use pages from this dictionary.

First I covered it in newsprint as a base to work on.

Nope. Not so much.

Then, I ripped the newsprint off, and wrapped it in muslin. Nope.
Not feeling it.

Apparently, old dictionary pages are delicious.
I unwrapped the muslin, and walked away from the whole thing. I started to consider the original structure. I took my un-chewed pages and started folding them into fans. I laced them through the wire all the way around the wreath.

Hey…I missed those.
I went back around to add more to give it some volume.

When I was happy with the fullness of the wreath, I added some decorative trim on top of the green wire.

I am so thrilled with how it came out. I am doubly thrilled that I can move on to another project!
